Sara Baartman

Baartman is an African women from the Khoikhoi tribe. She was stolen from her home in Africa and taken to Europe. She was sold to a slave owner and then sold to his brother. The brother then took her on tour as part of a freak show. She was kept in a cage next to a bear. They also kept a collar around her neck. They put her on display because of her giant butt. She died at the age of 26. Sara body was put on the display in a museum until 2002. Then her body was laid to rest in South Africa.
